Fairy Tale Weddings - Enchanted Rose - Inspired by Beauty and the Beast - Inspiration and Information
One of my favorite Disney movies of all time is Beauty and the Beast. When I decided that I was going to create wedding invitations based on the Disney Princesses I knew this would definitely have to be a movie that I re-created. The unconditional love that Belle and her beast shared even though he was a monster, it’s inspiring even if they are talking about loving a monster.
This post will provide you with everything you need to achieve the perfect fairy tale wedding.

Belle Wedding Dress
The dress featured here is Alfred Angelo’s New dress for 2016 for their Disney Weddings Collection. I love how beautiful this dress is and personally I’m a huge fan of the glitter so that definitely helps. It comes in four beautiful options for brides to be, Ivory/Gold, White/Gold, Ivory/Silver, and White/Silver.
Disney Maidens Dress by Alfred Angelo
As I mentioned in a previous post related to the fairy tale weddings, Alfred Angelo does not specify which dresses belong to which princesses for their bridal party. So you can definitely pick and choose dresses to your liking. What I love about this dress, Style 540, is that it is new and it features a beautiful lace pattern. It’s beautiful yet simplistic. I could definitely see how this dress could be reused by the bridesmaids for other events. It comes in all of their Romantic Lace Colors which include a beautiful gold and navy which I think is perfect for a Beauty and the Beast theme wedding.
Belle Flower Girl Dress by Alfred Angelo
The dress is Style 727 on Alfred Angelo’s website, which states that this fairy tale flower girl dress is a vision of satin and glitter net. Crystallized features and petite flowers dust this lovely Disney Blossom dress.
The invitations shown above are from my Fairy Tale Wedding Collection. They are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop for $25.00. They are a complete DIY package that you can print as many copies as you need.
Depending on the time of the year that you are planning your wedding some flowers may be harder to find or more expensive in the long run. You definitely would want to speak with your florist on your best options for flowers and what flowers can be dyed to look natural and beautiful.
fiftyflowers.com sells some absolutely beautiful looking, at least according to their website, flowers. They have an entire section of flowers on their website specifically dedicated to weddings. You can use their site to break down flowers by color or season. They also sell DIY Flower Kits which may be a great option to save on your flower arrangements. You might want to check out their website for flowers that are available in blue or yellow as there are so many beautiful flowers that you will be able to choose from. This will give you a perfect idea for what to speak with your florist about if you’re not comfortable heading down the DIY road.
I hope that this post helps with planning your fairy tale wedding. I will have more favors, cakes and other things to look forward to in the upcoming days so stay tuned.
While blue seems to be a predominant theme in these Cinderella inspired horse drawn carriage wedding cakes, there are some very important things to remember. First you can make your cakes any color that you choose. This should be pretty obvious to most but hey sometimes it is easy to get caught up in other people's ideas. Secondly, all of these cakes have some unique features that you can maybe have a baker use to create something unique to you.
In the some images we see that the bride and groom had a carriage cake topper. They do sell these online at various stores such as Amazon or Etsy. The birds and ribbon cake look like they are made out of frosting or additional cake. I have no idea how it all holds up together but I'm not a cake designer.
I think though that my favorite of these cakes is the white one at the bottom left of the page. I love this cake mostly because it still resembles a traditional wedding cake. There is room on the top for either the carriage like shown, a traditional bride or groom, or even those new modern written cake toppers that are very popular these days.
Whatever you choose I'm sure your wedding cake will be absolutely stunning and yummy.
Fairy Tale Weddings - Horse Drawn Carriage - Inspired by Cinderella
Each year Pantone releases a set of colors that they believe will be huge hits in the following Spring and Summer, they also include a color of the year to go with this list. Everything that is sold in colors are generally designed with these set of colors in mind. So for your wedding that means that bridesmaid dresses, registry items (you know that blender you want) and other items are based also around these particular colors.
When creating my Fairy Tale Wedding Invitation which was inspired by Cinderella's Carriage and Horse, I didn't really think about the colors of blue that were so prominent with Cinderella. I knew I was making the design to go as a story-book theme and I knew that I absolutely wanted this beautiful Peach Echo that Pantone has created for this year. I thought about the beauty of the bridesmaids as they walked down the aisle in this lovely color. I thought that it went well with the original dress that Cinderella had made for herself to go to the ball, you know the one that was destroyed by her evil step sisters?

Alfred Angelo - Cinderella Style 262 which is promised to come soon. This is the Cinderella dress for this year. I'm unsure if the previous years dresses will remain available or not. Nor am I sure when this dress will actually become available as their website has little to no information.
Alfred Angelo - Disney Maidens Style 533 which is also promised to come soon. The thing that I don't like about Alfred Angelo is they make these beautiful Disney Maidens dresses for your bridesmaids to wear but they never actually indicate which dress is to go with what theme. It's kind of aggravating to me but that's only because I like things to match. These are quite lovely and seem to match the Cinderella dress well though I suppose you could use any of the designs if you wanted. Or you could go with something completely different.
I am by no means a flower expert. I think they are pretty, they smell nice and they make me sneeze sometimes. So when you don't know much about flowers you turn to a florist. I found this great site online B/A Florist that has so much useful information about colors and weddings and what flowers will work with what colors. Seriously, I love this site. They recommend the following: "flowers available in peach shades are roses, ranunculus, alstroemeria, calla lilies, and peonies, just to name a few." So clearly there are some additional options, I would definitely suggest that you check with your florist when planning your wedding to get the look you want. I also suggest doing a quick Google search of any of these flowers I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the beauty that you will find.
There are so many beautiful designs and ides that you can use for your perfect fairy tale wedding. Cinderella is the princess I will be focusing on this week even as I create designs for other Disney Princesses. My next post will be an inspiration post for cakes. I love cake, especially wedding cakes. The designs that you can do will blow you out of the water. Look forward to that tomorrow.
It's important to know that wedding cakes come in all different shapes, sizes, flavors. Some are massively huge (think 80's and 90's wedding cakes with the steps and the fountains) or cupcakes that you can give to your guests. Personally I love the idea of cupcakes just because then you don't have to cut the cake or have someone else cut the cake to serve it to wedding guests. Which can actually save you a lot of money on your wedding budget.
Above are some various styles of cakes and one version of a cupcake that you can take to your baker to assist with creating the perfect wedding cake for your upcoming wedding and reception.
These designs go perfectly with my Starry Night - Under The Stars Wedding Invitations!
