Now with fall upon us and winter coming, birthday parties are having to go inside to prevent children from getting sick. This doesn’t mean we have to limit ourselves from fun parties though. Today we are going to show off 6 fun indoor party invitations that will give you plenty of ideas for your child’s upcoming birthday.
1. Ice Skating Party
This is probably the first party idea you thought of when you began your winter party planning. It is indoors, it’s fun and it’s perfect for winter. Yes you will still need to bundle your child and their friends up in winter gear but they’ll be skating and burning energy and having fun with their friends. Most ice rinks have indoor seating areas if the kids get too cold and party spots for cake, pizza and present time.
2. Sleepover Party
This option doesn’t just have to be for little girls or cost parents a fortune. Head to a Redbox or Netflix for some children themed movies, grab some popcorn and snacks and let the little ones entertain themselves for the night.
3. Bounce House Party
I know, you’re thinking, well this is probably best outdoors and not suitable for winter. While bounce houses are typically shown on TV and in movies as being an outdoor summertime thing, my niece was recently invited to a bounce house party at an indoor bounce house park. Seriously this place was like a giant warehouse filled with nothing but big fancy bounce houses, slides, and all sorts of other things to keep children entertained. She loved it and so did the other kids of the party.
4. Glow Party
Get out those black lights from your college days and set them back out for your child’s birthday. Invite their friends to wear clothing that will glow, get some glow sticks (you can typically find these very cheaply at your local Dollar Tree) and enjoy some games, snacks and a good time with your kid and their friends.
5. Rockstar Party
Got a little musician on your hands? Throw them a rockstar party! Set up a ‘green room’ with snacks, water and any items that they ‘must have’, let them listen to music, sing, dance, or even play instruments if they have them. Take photos on a ‘red carpet’ as guests arrive then send them to a ‘VIP’ area for fun and games.
6. Slime Time Party
As an adult, I see nothing fun about slime but kids on the other hand LOVE this stuff. Throw your little one a slime time party to make them really happy little ones. You can have guests make their own slime and take it home as part of their party favor. There are a ton of recipes online for how to make slime at home. I suggest finding one that works for you and your budget well before the party to avoid a disastrous birthday..
